Our Approaches to This Service
While we are willing to serve as your coaches or Master Coaches, we prefer to develop a customized coaching program that matches your needs and equips local staff or consultants to coach.
We match the coaching model to the project’s needs and design the coaching program with approval from an ICF-certified coach, often integrating it with assessment, training, strategic action planning, and measurement and evaluation.
Some options for coaching programs include
Intense, what-if driven:
If the coaching timeline is short and the stakes require quick improvement, we design a high-accountability program to drive results with constant visibility into score improvement.
Longer engagement, what-if driven:
If the coaching timeline is longer but the stakes are high for improving, we design a balanced program based on coach availability and coachee time-to-implement to drive results with constant visibility into score improvement.
Lite touch:
To fit a lower budget, dispersed coachee population, or more independent coachee group, we design a hybrid coaching and learning model that empowers the coachee to be self-accountable.
Group-based:
To accommodate a lower budget, non-local coaching program with concentrated coachees, we design a group-based model in which coachees have individual time and continually learn from and stay accountable to their local peers.
Personal development:
For some projects, coaching is primarily aimed at personal development. In this case, we design a program that equips coaches with a coaching model to drive personal growth.

The Coaching Team possesses the depth of expertise and breadth of diversity necessary to create and approve coaching programs that meet specific situations and needs in developing countries and underserved communities.
- ICF Coaching Lead
- Globally-certified coaches located around the world who provide insight into and approval of coaching programs, particularly in the context of local cultural and gender inclusivity. These coaches may also serve as Master Coaches for projects until a Master Coach is identified and trained.

Examples of This Service
- Coaching for Improved Performance: We developed a 10- to 12-hour eLearning course that provides practical, step-by-step instructions for maximizing coaching impact on performance improvement. It is based on the internationally-recognized coaching best practices, WBG/IFC’s Guide to Training, and the International Coaching Federation's (ICF) core competencies. This was reviewed and approved by an ICF-certified coach.
- Global Housing: We developed the training, trained the assessors/coaches, and evaluated them on longer engagement and what-if-driven coaching to bring awareness to housing developers.This led to growth and action toward making them investment-ready and capable of designing affordable, sustainable housing.
- Pineapple Farmer Training and Coaching: We incorporated a mini training for the trainer based on the GROW model, a tip sheet, and forms to capture their coaching sessions and track the results of farmers applying good agricultural practices to pineapple production.
